With the Oregon Ducks Football Offense being a bit weak this year, and with the backup quarterback having inconsistent practice time, will Darron Thomas step up and be the leader the Ducks need?
Darron is evolving as a better student of the game. Not being able to rely on his athleticism, he’s becoming a more intelligent player against more complicated “reads” and more intuitive defenses.
With the novelty of the Oregon offensive play calling speed now worn off, they’ll need to push plays out even faster– apparently Chip Kelly has them on a speedier play clock. Even so, the Oregon offense is predicated on a team approach. No one player can win or lose a game.
Without super stars, everyone needs to raise their level of play.
