Photos of Oregon’s “retro-inspired” uniforms they’ll be wearing against the California Golden Bears this Thursday have been hitting the Internet like crazy.
The green throwback uniforms sport a “cartoon” duck on the shoulders rather than the usual duck wings and the “O” along the words “Fighting Ducks” across the front of the jerseys. The number “2790” displayed inside of the collar represents the number of push ups the Duck’s mascot, also known as Puddles, had to perform in 2010.
No word yet if the jerseys will be for sale, but if Uncle Phil has anything to do with it, my guess jerseys will hit stores prior to game day. We’ll keep you updated.
